Emulators

  • New: all Android Test Device (ATD) emulator models now have 4GiB of RAM instead of 2GiB. This should reduce the amount of OOMs and memory pressure on the emulator, especially with larger apps and test suites.

    NOTE: enterprise customers need to update to ew-cli 1.4.3 / Gradle plugin 1.7.3 / GitHub action 1.1.1 / CircleCI orb 0.2.1 or later to get this change.

ew-cli 1.4.3

  • New (enterprise customers only): ATD emulators now have 4GiB of RAM instead of 2GiB. Customers on the Startup and Scaleup plans get this change immediately without having to upgrade ew-cli.

  • Maintenance: bumped default ew-cli version to 1.4.3.

GitHub actions emulator-wtf/actions@v1.1.1

  • Improved: we increased the maximum APK size to 1GiB.
